The Visit of Queen Victoria to Doncaster on Wednesday, August 27th, 1851
A booklet produced by Brooke, White, and Hatfield of Printing Office Street, Doncaster
Queen Victoria, Prince Albert, and four of their children stayed overnight at the Angel Inn in Doncaster on Aug 27th, 1851. They were on their way from Osbourne House on the Isle of Wight to Balmoral Castle, their holiday home, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Soon after the royal visit, the Doncaster firm of printers Brooke, White, and Hatfield published a special booklet to record the historic event.
